Rigpa Students in Lerab Ling

The Tibetan Blog of Living and Dying is a website and blog created by students of Sogyal Rinpoche to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the first publication his ground-breaking book: The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying.

Over the last two decades this book has had an extraordinary impact, striking a chord in the hearts and minds of so many people around the world from all walks of life. Readers have drawn all kinds of help from the book: practical help at moments of difficulty such as impending death, solace at times of loss, guidance on the spiritual path and understanding of the nature of mind. Not only has it been a tremendous source of personal inspiration, insight and practical guidance, it has been adopted and used in so many ways by institutions, centres and groups of various kinds, educational, medical and spiritual, and it has sparked the development of a number of extraordinary initiatives to help the living and the dying.

To celebrate the last two decades of The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying, this website features testimonies, interviews and stories from all sorts of people about the impact of the Tibetan Book of Living and Dying. We will also share audio and video of Sogyal Rinpoche teaching on key themes from the book, and provide a growing list of links to the many websites, and organizations that are linked with or inspired by The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying, or who share the common vision to, in Sogyal Rinpoche’s own words: “inspire a quiet revolution at the whole way we look at death and care for the dying, and so the whole way we look at life and care for the living.”
